Dear friends of the newly formed 9th Kent County Commission District,

As a resident living in the City of Wyoming South of 44th St. and West of Clyde Park Ave., or a resident of Byron Township / Byron Center, you are a voter in the new redistricted 9th County Commission District. The new district will have no incumbent commissioner. "It is my desire to serve as your new Kent County Commissioner. Let my experience work for you."

With Joanne, my wife of 44 years, seeking her last term as our State Representative, Harold Jr. so aptly managing the family cookie business, my desire is to continue as a public servant by being a Kent County Commissioner working for you. I have the time and energy. "Working together, you and I can make a big difference."

The issues that face us, as residents of Southwest Kent County, are important to the qualities of life we desire to retain or must work hard to attain. Your County Commissioner must have the experience working with contiguous governmental entities. I know how to get things done working with others locally, in Lansing or federal agencies. "I have a service record of acceptance and effectiveness."

My first hand experience coupled with knowledge of local and county issues, are very important to the new 9th Kent County Commission District. The relationships and friendships built over the years will mean much as I serve as your Kent County Commissioner. "I ask for your vote of confidence to do the work."
